Rain/Snow Policy

What happens if rain is in the forecast?

We will make a decision at least 3 hours prior to the start of the first class to determine if we will have soccer or not. If you do not hear from us on the day of the class, then that means that soccer is still on.

What happens if it rains a day prior to the class?

Depending upon the field location, we may or may not have class. Some counties close their fields if the rain is steady a day prior, and some counties do not. Some of the fields that we use requires a field permit, and some do not. So the decision to cancel class if it rains a day before, will be on a case by case basis. We will notify you via email, text, and on our website, if class is canceled. We will then make up the class at a later date to be determined weeks prior, so that you have adequate time to prepare for the make-up class.

What happens if it rains during a class or minutes prior to the start of a class?

Postponement of a class will be determined by the steadiness of the rain. In the case of thunder and lightning, we will cancel or may postpone for 15 minutes to let the rain pass. However, if the rain is a mist or light, then we will continue the class as scheduled. If class is canceled, then we will make it up at a later date to be determined weeks prior, so that you have adequate time to prepare.

What happens if it rains for multiple days prior to the class?

In the case of steady rain for multiple days prior to a class, inclement weather (snow, hurricanes, tornado, and any other weather problem) we will notify you at least 24 hours prior to determine whether soccer will be cancelled or will be on as scheduled via website and email. If it does snow or rain and if we are forced to postpone, then we will make the session up at a later date to be determined or add time onto the remaining sessions.

Thunderstorm Policy

In the case of inclement weather we will communicate three ways: text message, website, and email. Please make sure to check back on our website for any updates at least 1 hour prior to the start of class. If you have not heard from us, and the weather looks questionable less than 1 hour prior to the start of the class, then please call 301-613-9065. If there are no updates, then expect the class to still be on. If it does rain and if we are forced to postpone then we will make the session up at a later date to be determined or add time onto the remaining sessions.

Cold Weather Policy

If the temperature remains less than 40 degrees during the start of a class and for the duration of the day, then outdoor classes will be canceled.
