John Brown, one of four contributable writers to the QuickFeet Soccer organization, took time to sit down with Head Trainer Justin Reid to discuss the first half of 2008, where QuickFeet is headed, and where he expects to see the organization 5 years from now. Reid touches base on the positive growth of the organization and the negative impact of the economy in relation to QuickFeet enrollment. Reid also touches base on nutrition, culture, and various topics relating to Prince George’s culture, to that of soccer.

Grandmothers are Sometimes All a Child has Growing Up

To mold a child into a highly respected adult takes years of training, guidance, and patience. Have you ever heard the old saying that it takes a “Village to raise a child”? Do you believe it? Well, I do, and I don’t. In fact, I only believe that part of this theory is true for the simple fact that you can not just let any old village or leader of that village raise a child. That village must consists of educators, wise individuals, people who are constantly pushing the child to achieve greatness, and people who are capable of spending their time to raise that child.

U-6 – U-8 Teams Place 2nd at McFest Soccer Tournament
QuickFeet’s U-6 and U-8 teams, an assembly of the better boys soccer players in the Spring 2008 QuickFeet Soccer League, placed second at the McFest Soccer Tournament held at Northrop Fields in Columbia, MD on June 21st.

QuickFeet Rep to Run in 5k "Austism Speaks" Race

QuickFeet Soccer's Head Trainer Justin Reid will participate in Autism Speaks 5K race on July 4,2008 in support of curing Autism to provide funding for Autistic research.
